The Parish Council will be made up of the Pastor, 4 members elected by the Parish and one chairperson from each committee.  Consequently, the Parish Council will consist of 13 members.  The Pastor has a permanent “seat” on the Council and will be responsible for a pastor-appointed Liturgy group.  Each committee chairperson must serve a minimum of one year but not more than 3 years as a Parish Council representative. The committee members choose their representative for the Parish Council.  Annually, the Parish Council must agree on a member to facilitate the meetings (If St Pius has a Parish Administrator, then the Administrator would “run” the meetings.  A review of the number of members may also need attention with a Parish Administrator involved.)  The chosen facilitator (absent a Parish Administrator) shall organize the meetings and have an agenda prepared before each meeting.  They shall perform this function for at least a consecutive 12-month period.
